Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to help students secure the knowledge skills and behaviours needed to succeed in the workplace. They represent the latest in professional standards and provide opportunities for students to develop behaviours for work, for example by undertaking a group project, or responding to a client brief. A student may even achieve exemption from professional or vendor qualifications, or student membership of selected professional bodies, to help them on their journey to professional competence.

At the same time the BTEC Higher Nationals are intended to keep doors open for future study should a student wish to progress further in their education after their level 5 study. They do this by allowing space for the development of higher education study skills, such as the ability to research. Clear alignment of level of demand with the Framework for Higher Education qualification descriptors at level 4 and 5 means that students wishing to progress to level 6 study should feel better prepared.

Al Zaeem will train the learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to achieve success and fetch a better prospective career.  Students’ will enroll for the Higher National Diploma and top-up to a Bachelor Degree. By doing this, they save fees of the entire bachelors by approx 30% + and at the same time earn a BTEC HND which is highly recognized by employers and Universities and have the opportunity to start work a year or so early while still pursuing their bachelors in the evenings or by distance learning.

Course Structure

The HND in Business is a major workplace qualification course, delivered over 18 to 24 months, which includes a broad range of highly relevant business and management subject areas, making it ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in private of public sector business.

The HND is also recognized as being equivalent to the first two years of a UK degree. HND graduates will therefore gain entry into the third and final year at any universities (UAE/USA/UK/CANADA/AUSTRALIA) and be able to work toward obtaining an Honorary Degree in only one further year of study.

The non-specialist ‘General Business’ pathway, which allows students to complete a Level 5 Higher National Diploma without committing to a particular professional specialism. This offers additional flexibility to providers and students. Holders of the Level 5 Higher National Diploma will have developed a sound understanding of the principles in their field of study and will have learned to apply those principles more widely. They will have learned to evaluate the appropriateness of different approaches to solving problems. They will be able to perform effectively in their chosen field and will have the qualities necessary for employment in situations requiring the exercise of personal responsibility and decision-making.
